In this instance, STI utilizes a soft polyethylene 2" synthetic fiber that is UV protected. It has been treated and tufted on a porous backing. The same quality product is used for our school, play yard and lawn applications. The surface is infilled with granulated rubber and sand to increase stability and to create the "spring" and feel associated with natural lawns. The fibers are waterproof, and it can be cleaned with a leaf blower or rake. Our technicians are trained to install your new yard with proper seaming and drainage.
